To use, just run the TEdit executable file. Go to File Open then navigate to Documents My Games Terraria Worlds. This folder contains your world files, which are opened directly using TEdit. TEdit officially supports Terraria 1.4 worlds with the most recent beta release. Installation and Use. Back up your world and player files (not necessary but recommended). Download the latest release. Run the TEdit executable. On the menu, go to File Open. Navigate to DocumentsMy GamesTerrariaWorlds. This folder contains your world files.
Map viewers are 3rd-party programs that analyze saved maps and display their contents in one easily-viewable graphic.
Map viewers are useful for finding Floating Islands and other resources, as well as providing a total world view not otherwise attainable. Some programs also provide advanced tools for checking map variables, checking Chest contents, and even altering maps in various ways.
