We’re about 5 weeks away from Mizuno’s launch of it’s next generation Fast Track driver the new MP-630 here in Japan. This time around, Mizuno decided to release the new MP-58 and MP-68 irons outside of Japan first. These irons will also launch after the first week of November here in Japan along with the new MP-630 and become available for Mizuno Japan’s custom iron program.
The Mizuno MP600 Driver can be adjusted to as many as 15 different weight settings to accomodate players with all types of swing tendencies; slice, hook etc Mizuno sold out of the Mizuno MX-500 driver way back in January so the launch of this the Mizuno MP600 has been eagerly awaited. Joined Jul 19, 2010 HCP 2.4 Local club/country Ireland Irons Mizuno MP59 3-5 iron, MP69 6-PW, MP-T4 52 & 58 degree black nickel.
The MP-630 will initally be available with Exsar MD-3 stock shaft before being available with Japan’s full offering of top shafts. The 460cc MP-630 will have 8.5 9.5 and 10.5* lofts and feature 2 x 5.5g adjustable tungsten weights in its Fast Track system. The driver features a forged Ti-4.5Al-2Mo-4V face paired with a precision cast Ti-6Al-4V body. The face appears shallower compared to the 1st generation MP-600 and as before the Fast Track system allows for fade or draw trajectories as well as a shift in the center of gravity that can also affect the amount of spin the driver will generate. Weights moved to the 1 and 10 position will create a lower trajectory shot for windy conditions while the weights in the 5 and 6 position will create higher launch and maximum carry.
At this point, it appears the Mizuno MP-630 driver won’t be released outside of Japan until some time in the new year and once we have more info we’ll definitely let you know!

What we say...
David loved the aesthetics of the MP- 630, saying this is how every driver should look! In terms of performance it is designed for the better player and that showed in terms of the forgiveness rating. Elsewhere it scored highly with Pro Chris liking the looks and enjoying a great ball flight and terrific dispersion stats. This was also one of John’s favourite drivers on test, even as a higher handicapper! He loved the elegant looks and the great feel off the face – although he admitted that when he wasn’t playing well it wouldn’t give him much help. This is also available in a Fast-Track model with moveable weights for different trajectory settings.

The Mizuno MP-630 driver is a class act at a great price. The Tour Ready 444cc profile comes with weight pre-set for a neutral left/right ball flight. The Mizuno MP-630 driver also uses the Hot Metal sheet forged 6-4Ti face. It comes with a Fubuki shaft as standard.
Slightly open at address, with powerful pear shaped profile and thumping feedback, the MP-630 inspires imagination from the tee. While designed to suit the eye of stronger players, the shallower design, 445cc size and range of lofts will inspire a broad range of abilities.
Sizzling ball speeds are generated by the HOT METAL 6-4Ti face, coupling the MP-630's shot-making prowess with explosive distances. A penetrating flight generated from the MP-630's multi-piece construction and low COG, ensure that the increases in ball speed are efficiently converted into additional yardage.
The slightly open face is complemented by a neutral flight bias, giving powerful ball strikers the confidence to release through impact - without a tendency to hook.
The Mizuno MP-630 Driver is available with adjustable weight settings and it comes in two separate lofts: 9.5°, 10.5°. The driver has a Titanium head, graphite shaft, and is available in both models for ladies and gents. For the right handed player.
